DCM SOLAFIDA® restores the soil balance of your sports turf

Almost all sports fields consist of a sandy top layer with a low humus content. The advantage of this is that such soils are well-drained and stable. A disadvantage, however, is that nutrients can easily leach into the subsoil. Unlike clay and humus particles, sand particles carry no negative charge. As a result, positively charged nutrients such as potassium, magnesium and calcium, as well as trace elements like zinc, copper, manganese and boron, are less effectively bound to soil particles. As a result, the CEC – the Cation Exchange Capacity, also known as the clay-humus complex – is often low and insufficient. By carrying out a targeted application annually at the end of the growing season, the CEC balance of the soil can be better maintained.

The cations present K+, Ca2+, Mg2+ and various trace elements are gradually released and remain available to the plant for a long time, thereby also increasing the efficiency of your standard fertilisation programme.

The advantages of this product are:

  • All essential cations in the soil are brought to the correct level in a single operation: K⁺, Ca²⁺ and Mg²⁺.

  • These cations bind to the negatively charged clay-humus complex, increasing the CEC value and soil fertility.

  • The soil is able to retain nutrients more effectively and release them when plants need them.

  • The potassium of plant origin contributes to a strong, hardened turf during autumn and winter.

  • Calcium of natural origin ensures a crumbly soil structure and strengthens the cell walls of grass plants.

  • Magnesium of natural origin is indispensable for effective photosynthesis and ensures a deep green leaf colour.

  • Naturally rich in sulphur and essential trace elements.

  • Helps to counteract the annual soil acidification, making the nutrients present more absorbable.

  • Easy-to-spread and readily soluble granule.
