The wide range of organic nutrient sources, each with its own NPK composition and release pattern, ensures a steady and continuous nutrient supply for 75 to 100 days.
Also contains a fraction of long-acting mineral nitrogen based on methylene urea (urea formaldehyde). This complex molecule is gradually converted by soil microorganisms into plant-available nutrients, extending the fertiliser's effectiveness to 120 - 150 days.
DCM Xtra-MIX® 1 is a fertiliser produced with MINIGRAN® TECHNOLOGY, a unique micro-granulation process. In contrast to blends (fertiliser mixtures), MINIGRAN® granules have a homogenous composition and contain the same ratio of nutrients. Thanks to their small size, these granules are also suitable for row application and precision fertilisation. This ensures nutrients are placed exactly where the crop needs them, allowing lower application rates per hectare.
Nutrient release matched to plant demand
The activity of soil life determines both the release of nutrients from organic raw materials and the conversion of urea-formaldehyde. This activity is influenced not only by temperature, but also by pH and moisture levels. As plant growth is governed by these same natural factors, nutrient release from DCM Xtra-MIX® 1 is closely aligned with crop growth and nutrient demand. This improves nutrient-use efficiency and reduces the risk of nutrient leaching.
Stimulates soil life
Both the organic nutrients and the methylene urea require conversion by soil microorganisms before becoming available to plants. As a result, DCM Xtra-MIX® 1 stimulates the development of a diverse and active soil life. A diverse and active soil life contributes to better soil balance and helps reduce the risk of disease pressure. Under these conditions, roots develop more effectively and crops grow more vigorously.
One application per growing season
In practice, multiple fertiliser applications per year are undesirable or impractical for some crops or growers. Thanks to its extra long-lasting, controlled release effect, DCM Xtra-MIX® 1 requires only one application per growing season in most crops. This eliminates the costs associated with additional fertiliser applications (labour, time and machinery) while also reducing the risk of spreading potential diseases through equipment.
