DCM UNI-MIX A, the must-have for head lettuce and leaf vegetables

DCM UNI-MIX A has been proving for over 30 years that its unique formulation is ideal for growing lettuce and leaf vegetables. Practical trials have been carried out with a number of growers, on both light and heavy soils, using several varieties of lettuce. The DCM formulas were evaluated against the grower’s usual practice. Based on the results of these tests, the most optimal formula was chosen: DCM UNI-MIX A.

Fertilization trial Proefstation voor de Groenteteelt (Research Station for Vegetable Growing), Sint-Katelijne-Waver

Tests were set up both in practice and at the Proefstation voor de Groenteteelt. Compared with standard chemical fertilization, fertilization with DCM UNI-MIX A led to better results, both in terms of yield (kg/100 pieces) and nitrate content of the lettuce at harvest.

Result of year-round use of DCM UNI-MIX A, crop after crop: “Over 5 crops, DCM UNI-MIX A gives on average the heaviest lettuce and more specifically in the summer and autumn crops, the highest yield for all objects, while providing good nitrate control.

Practical trial, greenhouse cultivation endive, Putte

In comparative trials with endive, fertilization with DCM UNI-MIX A showed very good yield (weight) and excellent quality compared to the current cultivation technique i.e. the combination chemical-organic. After these convincing results, the grower switched to DCM UNI-MIX A as basic fertiliser. This allows him to easily provide all the necessary nutrients in one application.

Practical trial, greenhouse cultivation Lollo bionda and head lettuce, Lint

Also in the cultivation of Lollo bionda, good results were obtained after fertilizing with DCM UNI-MIX A. DCM UNI-MIX A gave excellent results, particularly in terms of rooting, initial growth and uniform growth throughout the entire greenhouse.
