DCM MIX 2 for healthy and strong flower bulbs

How can you ensure that flower bulbs bloom beautifully again next year?

Flower bulbs in public green spaces create an attractive and inviting environment. The early flowering of snowdrops, crocuses and daffodils heralds the arrival of spring. Although bulbs are planted only once, they can return after year.

However, flower bulbs also need nutrients to build up sufficient reserves for the next growing season. The sugars produced in the green parts of the plant, together with absorbed nutrients, are stored in the bulb after flowering. That is why it is important to mow the foliage only once it has completely withered. Until then, sugars are transported from the leaves to the bulb.

To maintain soil fertility, it is advisable to apply DCM MIX 2 from April onwards. This organic fertiliser is composed of twelve organic raw materials and is rich in potassium, which helps the bulb enter its dormant period in a strong and healthy condition.

In addition, it is important that the soil is not too acidic. Most bulbous plants naturally grow in soils with a relatively high pH. To maintain the correct acidity level, DCM SOLAFIDA® can be applied. This product is rich in calcium, magnesium and potassium and helps to slightly increase the soil pH.
