Stimulating and diversifying soil life
The application of the organic soil improver DCM VIVISOL® creates ideal conditions for the development of an active and diverse soil life. Thanks to the high organic matter content, the soil is enriched with humus, improving both physical and biological soil fertility. In combination with the added Bacillus sp., this stimulates a rich and biodiverse soil life and contributes to optimal soil health for the crop. At planting, DCM VIVISOL® can be applied directly beneath the crown or plug, ensuring immediate contact between the roots and the product.
Increased root mass
In asparagus cultivation, the first year is crucial. During this phase, the plant must establish itself well and build up a strong underground storage system as quickly as possible: the root network. This root system enables the plant to take up water and nutrients efficiently and to store sugars that serve as vital reserves during the winter period.
Numerous field trials with DCM VIVISOL® show that asparagus plants respond particularly well to its application. Rooting depth increases visibly and sample analyses show that total root mass can increase by up to 30% or more. In addition, analyses indicate higher sugar levels in plants treated with DCM VIVISOL®. The visible result is a fresh, green and vigorous crop with strong growth potential and promising yield prospects for subsequent growing seasons.
