DCM VITACT® R: Biostimulant for better root development and higher resistance to abiotic stress

What is a biostimulant?

A useful, microbial component or a bioactive, chemical component, or a combination of both, applied to plants or soils to regulate and to improve physiological processes during the life cycle of the plant.

The application of DCM VITACT® R improves nutrient uptake resulting in :

  • a larger root surface: strongly branched and longer roots and more lateral roots
  • stimulation of the aboveground and underground growth and optimal health of plants and roots
  • improved anchoring of the plant
  • a higher survival rate when sowing, planting out cuttings, repotting
  • stonger plants and improved resistance to abiotic stress

Larger root surface

with DCM VITACT® R (1,2 ml/L)

Composition

Biostimulant based on Bacillus sp. with complex carbon chains

  • Bacteria (Bacillus sp.) 109 CFU/g
  • Content of complex carbon chains of vegetable origin 10 %
  • Derogation number for Belgium: EM735.D

Dosage

  • 0,5 – 2 L/ha, apply with 400 – 1000 L water
  • 5 – 10 ml/m³, apply with 2 – 10 L water
  • 1 ml/L for seedlings and cuttings
  • 1 – 2 applications with an interval of 4 – 6 weeks
  • spread evenly over the substrate/soil

Apply the product as close as possible to the (young) roots by watering or by drip irrigation. Applicable in open field, organic substrates (potting soils) and mineral substrates (rock wool). Contact your adviser for more information on dosage and the application method for your crop. DCM VITACT® R is available in 5 L containers and 1 L bottles

DCM VITACT® R is a biostimulant based on a unique combination of a component of organic origin and a microbial component providing the following functions:

Complex carbon chains of vegetable origin:

  • Can bind nutrients present in the soil/substrate so that these nutrients become and remain available for the plants and are less susceptible to leaching
  • Stimulate soil life
  • Enhance soil aggregate stability

Special bacteria strains (Bacillus sp.: 109 CFU/g):

  • Settle down in the rhizosphere and release (soil) phosphorus, which makes it uptakeable for the plant roots
