DCM INTRO® 2.0 for water management of turf areas

DCM INTRO® 2.0 is an innovative wetting agent specifically developed to prevent and remedy drought stress in sports turf, golf courses, and lawns, in an organic and sustainable way.

The effectiveness of DCM INTRO® 2.0 lies in its unique composition, which combines a hydrophobic (water-repellent) and a hydrophilic (water-attracting) component. When applied, DCM INTRO® 2.0 coats water-repellent soil particles with an ultra-thin water-attracting layer, effectively breaking down the soil’s water-repellent properties.

DCM INTRO® 2.0 offers the following benefits for turf water management::

Efficiently and rapidly breaks through the water-repellent character of the soil:

DCM INTRO® 2.0 ensures fast and uniform water penetration into the top layer of the soil, minimising losses through evaporation and runoff.

Water-saving:

DCM INTRO® 2.0 improves the efficiency of irrigation systems, resulting in more efficient water use.

Improved distribution within the soil profile:

The product promotes both lateral and vertical water movement, allowing moisture to reach deeper soil layers instead of flowing through preferential pathways.

Extended duration of action:

DCM INTRO® 2.0 allows for longer intervals between applications, reducing treatment frequency.

What results can be achieved?

  • Uniform growth and even turf colour: Grass roots have access to more available water, resulting in uniform growth and a consistent, deep green colour.

  • Resilient turf management: DCM INTRO® 2.0 reduces growth stress and helps the turf to become stronger, making it more resistant to disease and foot traffic.

  • Less damage and faster recovery after drought stress: DCM INTRO® 2.0 minimises turf damage caused by drought stress. Thanks to improved water penetration and distribution within the soil profile, grass roots are better able to survive dry periods. In addition, the efficient wetting of the soil after application of DCM INTRO® 2.0 promotes faster turf recovery.

When and how much to use?

DCM INTRO® 2.0 can be used both preventively, to avoid drought stress, and curatively, to remedy it. The product is safe for use on turf and is suitable for both sandy-based soils and sloped areas.

Preventive – Preventing drought stress

standard programme

100 ml/10 L/100 m²

in case of a thick thatch layer on an extremely sandy top layer with very low organic matter content

120 ml/10 L/100 m²

lawn installation (before seeding)

100 ml/10 L/100 m²

Curative - treating drought stress

Standard programme

150 ml/10 L/100 m²

in case of a thick thatch layer on an extremely sandy top layer with very low organic matter content

180 ml/10 L/100 m²

Instructions for use

  • Take the required amount of water and, while stirring, add the correct amount of DCM INTRO® 2.0 until it is fully and evenly dissolved

  • Apply this solution evenly over the turf
