DCM VIVIFOS®, a valuable addition when laying turf

In some situations, a lawn is established using turf rolls. The main reason for choosing turf is the immediate green effect: as soon as the turf is laid, the lawn is ready for use. However, even more so than with seeding, the first few weeks after turf installation are critical.

An innovative DCM product backed by years of expertise

When laying turf, soil preparation, pH correction, soil structure improvement and base fertilisation are similar to those required for establishing a lawn from seed. The key factor, however, is the rapid rooting of the turf into the underlying soil, ensuring that the turf does not deteriorate due to a lack of water and nutrients.

In addition to proper irrigation (rather than short daily watering cycles, longer and heavier irrigation is recommended to thoroughly moisten the soil profile), an extra stimulus for rapid root establishment is essential for successful turf installation.
Based on many years of experience on sport fields, DCM has developed a specific product that promotes fast and deeper rooting of the turf into the existing soil: DCM VIVIFOS®.
