DCM MIX 5: the optimal basic fertiliser with long-lasting action

DCM MIX 5 is an organo-mineral fertiliser NPK 10-4-8 + 3 MgO, based on a wide range of organic raw materials. All these raw materials have different nutritional values and release patterns: the mineral part ensures a quick start and the organic part provides a long duration of action of up to 100 days.

Plants fertilized with DCM MIX 5 show good, uniform growth, without stagnation or growth peaks. Moreover, this fertiliser causes no salt shocks, resulting in an optimal production of strong, attractive plants. Its formula is enriched with magnesium, so that the plants get and maintain their beautiful colour. DCM MIX 5 also contains 8% sulphur (SO3) and 5% calcium (CaO) for good nitrogen efficiency and strong plants.

Soil and plant nutrition

In addition to organic carbon (C) as an energy source, nitrogen (N) is an important nutrient for soil life. The organic matter is converted by the soil life into nutrients (mineral elements) and stable organic matter (humus).

The combination of nitrogen and carbon in the DCM fertiliser strongly stimulates soil life. Research has shown that soil life is almost twice as active when DCM organic fertiliser is applied than when only mineral fertilisers (which provide nitrogen but no organic carbon) are used. A varied and active soil life ensures a better balance in the soil, with increased resistance to disease. In these conditions, plant roots develop better and plant growth is improved.

Proven reduction of nutrient leaching

Official trials have shown that DCM fertilisers leach up to 4 times less than 100% mineral fertilisers. Nutrient loss and contamination of groundwater and surface water due to nitrogen, phosphate and potassium leaching are thus avoided. This way, a higher efficiency of the applied fertiliser is achieved, ensuring sustainable crop management.
