DCM VIVIFOS® ideal when laying turf

To create a new lawn, it is sometimes opted for sod rolls. The main reason for this is the ‘instant green’ effect, which means that the lawn is ‘ready to use’ after rolling out the sods. However, keep in mind that the first weeks after laying out the sod rolls are even more important than after sowing seed.

Just like sowing grass, laying sod requires thorough soil preparation, i.e. pH regulation, structure improvement and basic fertilization. Especially for sod rolls, it is important to ensure immediate rooting in order to avoid that the lawn dies from a lack of water or nutrients.
In addition to appropriate watering (no short, daily watering sessions, but long watering sessions with plenty of water, so that the subsoil becomes thoroughly moistened), it is therefore essential to further stimulate rooting for successful sod installation.
