Higher sugar, calcium and magnesium levels in asparagus roots after using DCM NK-MIX

Compared with a purely mineral fertiliser, an organo-mineral fertiliser (DCM NK-MIX) is absorbed more efficiently by the plants, which results in less leaching. This allows he plant to store more energy and nutrients in its roots. Thanks to the extra amounts of calcium and magnesium stored in the roots, the quality of the asparagus is improved !

Results of comparative trial with a mineral fertiliser

DCM NK-MIX and a purely mineral fertiliser were spread on 2 different plots after harvest. The trial results below show that – based on root analyses carried out by Hortinova – there was a significant difference in sugar, calcium and magnesium content of respectively 34% and 43%.
