Better emergence and more vigorous growth of young Acer palmatum plants with DCM VIVISOL®

Adding the organic soil improver DCM VIVISOL® MINIGRAN® helps to obtain a rich and active soil life and ensures optimal health of the seedbed and the young seedlings. The high organic matter content enriches the soil with humus and gives it a crumbly structure, which enhances seedling emergence. DCM VIVISOL® MINIGRAN® also increases soil fertility, and the added Bacillus sp. bacteria make the nutrients that are present in the soil (including phosphorus) more readily available. The result? The plant roots develop better, young trees and shrubs grow more easily and are of better quality.

Trial: DCM VIVISOL® MINIGRAN® applied when sowing Japanese maple

DCM VIVISOL® MINIGRAN® was incorporated into the (non-disinfected) soil on a plot before sowing Japanese maple (Acer palmatum) in May. Observation of the plot the following summer (June-July) showed better emergence and more vigorous growth than in the seedbeds without DCM VIVISOL® MINIGRAN®.

Trial: DCM VIVISOL® (pellet) applied when sowing Japanese maple

DCM VIVISOL® was incorporated into the soil on a plot of boomkwekerij Erik de Bruijn in Zundert before sowing Japanese maple (Acer palmatum) in May. The following summer (June-July), the plants in this plot showed better initial development, better growth and more leaf mass than the plants in the beds without DCM VIVISOL®.

Pelleted DCM VIVISOL® was incorporated into the disinfected soil on a plot of Boomkwekerijen De Rutven - Leon Domen en Zn. B.V. in Wernhout before sowing Japanese maple (Acer palmatum) in May. The following autumn (October), a significantly larger number of plants was counted than in the trial beds without DCM VIVISOL®.
